    This very limited edition CD is a compilation of "Au son des Lacs" and "Solstices & Équinoxes" projects I've produced the last 2 years. Each compositions is build on recorded soundscapes out in the open lands from the Mittlach valley in the Upper Vosges.

    This album is the result of dowser's pendulum analysis of the lakes Altenweiher, Fischboedle and Schiessrotried, and of the Rothenbachkopf, Kastelberg, Burgkoepfle and Herrenberg moutains

    Thanks to this approach, I was able to define for each lake the musical notes to use, the tempi, time signatures, set Moog synthesizers' oscillators, frequency filters and other envelope generators and also to write the scores for each instruments.

De l'équinoxe d'automne 2020 au solstice d'été 2021, depuis ma grange studio à Mittlach, je suis allé au sommet du Rothenbachkopf (automne), du Kastelberg (hiver), du Burgkoepfle (printemps) et de l'Herrenberg (été). À chacun de ces évènements solaires, j'ai posé mes micros pour enregistrer le paysage sonore depuis ces sommets. Sur place, pendant que l'enregistrement se déroulait, je cherchais à me relier aux forces géobiologiques de chaque lieu pour les analyser avec mon pendule et découvrir les notes de musique, les tempi et réglages à réaliser sur mes synthétiseurs Moog. J'ai aussi collecté des échantillons des roches propres à ces sommets. De retour en studio, j'ai poursuivi l'analyse pour programmer mes synthétiseurs et élaborer les partitions pour l'ensemble des instruments de la partition.

From the 2020 autumn equinox to the 2021 summer solstice, from my studio barn in Mittlach, I went to the top of Rothenbachkopf (autumn), Kastelberg (winter), Burgkoepfle (spring) and Herrenberg (summer). At each of these paroxysmal solar events, I put my microphones down to record the soundscape from these summits. On site, while the recording was taking place, I was looking to connect with the geobiological forces to analyze them with my pendulum and thus discover the musical notes, the tempi and adjustments to be made on my Moog synthesizers (MiniMoog Voyager, Moog DFAM and Moog Mother 32). I also collected samples of the rocks specific to these summits which surround me at each cardinal point to go further on the Moog’s preparation and to write the scores for each instrument.
